Terms of service

The terms that apply to your use of the Siar API, dashboard and website.

These terms are an agreement between you and FF DEV STUDIO (company number 202603234793, Malaysia), which operates Siar. By creating an account or using the API you accept them. If you use Siar for an organization, you confirm you are allowed to bind it.

1. The service

Siar provides an API, a dashboard, a hosted connect page, client libraries and documentation for publishing to, and reading from, third-party social networks that you connect. We may change or improve the service; we will not remove a documented API operation without notice on the changelog.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your organization’s activity, including everything done with its API keys. Keep keys secret; roll a key you think has leaked. Provide accurate account details and keep them current. You must be legally able to enter a contract.

3. Third-party networks

Siar acts on accounts you or your users connect, using permissions the account owner grants. You are responsible for having the right to publish to each connected account and for the content you publish. You and your users must follow each network’s own terms, policies and community guidelines, and we may suspend access to a network where its rules or its actions require it. Networks can change or withdraw their APIs; Siar’s features on a network depend on what that network permits, and we do not guarantee a network’s availability or approval. Network names and marks belong to their owners; Siar is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

4. Acceptable use

You will not use Siar to:

  • publish content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, harassing or harmful, or that a network prohibits;
  • send spam, run fake-engagement or coordinated inauthentic activity, or evade a network’s limits or enforcement;
  • connect accounts you do not have permission to use, or collect users’ network credentials;
  • attack, probe or overload the service, or work around quotas, rate limits or plan limits;
  • resell or provide the service in a way that misrepresents who operates it, except through features designed for that (such as the branded hosted connect page).

We may refuse or remove content, suspend or terminate access where these rules are broken or where needed to protect networks, users or the service.

5. Plans, quotas and billing

Plans, prices and limits are described on the pricing page and enforced by the API. Paid plans are billed per organization in US dollars in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew until cancelled. Quotas count what your organization creates in a UTC calendar month and do not roll over. X (Twitter) usage is billed separately from a prepaid credit balance at the price X charges us, with no markup; credit that has been spent on X API calls cannot be refunded. Taxes may be added where required. If a payment fails we may restrict the organization to the Free plan until it is resolved.

You can cancel a paid plan from the dashboard; it stays active to the end of the period and the organization then moves to Free. Except where the law requires otherwise, fees already paid are not refunded.

6. Your content and data

You keep ownership of your content and your users’ data. You give us a licence to store, process, convert and transmit it only to operate the service for you, including sending it to the networks you target. We keep uploaded media for 14 days after its last use, as described in the documentation. Our handling of personal data is described in the privacy policy, and how to ask us to delete data is on the data deletion page.

7. Availability and support

We work to keep the service available but do not promise uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, network outages and third-party failures can affect publishing. Support is by email.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or loss caused by a social network’s actions, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before it arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Siar and delete your organization at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if required by a network or the law, or if your account is inactive or unpaid. On termination your right to use the service ends; sections that by their nature should survive will.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with its date and, for material changes, notify account owners by email. Continuing to use the service after the change means you accept it.

11. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction, unless mandatory law in your country says otherwise. Questions: [email protected].
