How quotas work

  • Monthly quotas count what your organization creates in a UTC calendar month: posts, comments and uploads. A scheduled post counts in the month you create it (or move it out of DRAFT), not the month it publishes, so you can schedule ahead as far as your quota allows.
  • Drafts are free. A post starts counting when it leaves DRAFT.
  • Daily caps count posts and comments aimed at one connected account on one postDate day (UTC). They follow the underlying network identity, so disconnecting and reconnecting an account, or connecting it to a second team, does not reset them.
  • Checked once. Quotas and caps are enforced when you create or schedule. A scheduled post is never refused later because of a quota.
  • Retries are free. A failed post can be retried up to 6 times without counting again.
  • Media retention. Files are kept for 14 days after their last use: from the upload, or from the last time a post using it finished publishing, whichever is later. Media on a draft or scheduled post is kept until that post finishes. Deleted uploads keep their file for 2 more days. Published posts on the networks are never affected.
  • Usage endpoints. Read current usage at any time from GET /organization/usage/posts, /comments, /uploads, /daily-limits and /imports.

Per-network daily caps

Daily publishing caps, per account

Each connected account can receive this many posts per UTC day. The caps protect accounts from being throttled or flagged by the network for publishing too often. Enterprise uses the Business caps unless agreed otherwise.

X (Twitter): pass-through pricing

X charges developers for every API call. Siar passes those charges through at cost from a prepaid credit balance; anything not listed is free. If the balance runs out, X actions fail with a top-up message and every other network in the same post still publishes.

ActionBilledPrice (USD)
Publish a post or replyper request$0.015
Publish a post that contains a linkper request$0.200
Read a post (analytics, comment import)per post returned$0.005
Look up another accountper account returned$0.010
Edit or manage existing contentper request$0.005
Delete a post or replyper request$0.010
Repost, like or followper request$0.015

Top up the balance from the dashboard. Balance changes use a ledger (hold, then capture or release) so a failed publish never charges you. Webhooks fire at credit.low-balance and credit.exhausted; quote an action before running it with the credit endpoints in the API reference.

Frequently asked questions

Why is pricing per organization and not per account?

What costs us money is the work your organization does (posts published, comments, uploads), not the number of accounts that exist. So quotas count what you create each month, and paid plans allow unlimited teams and therefore unlimited connected accounts.

What counts as a post?

A post counts once, in the UTC month you create it or move it out of draft, no matter how many networks it targets. Drafts are free and retries of a failed post do not count again.

What happens at my quota?

Creating or scheduling another post returns a 403 that names the limit. Anything already scheduled still publishes: quotas are checked once, when you create the post.

Why do daily caps exist?

Networks throttle or flag accounts that publish too often. Caps keep a single account inside what each network tolerates. They follow the underlying network identity, so reconnecting an account does not reset them. Enterprise organizations can have them raised.

How does X (Twitter) billing work?

X charges per API call, so X actions are paid from a prepaid credit balance at X's price, with no markup from us. Publishing a post costs $0.015; a post containing a link costs $0.200. If the balance runs out, only X actions fail.

Can I change plan or cancel?

Yes, from the dashboard billing page. Quotas are per calendar month, so a change applies from the moment it takes effect.

What does Enterprise add?

Higher quotas, daily caps and rate limits set per organization, and a quoted price. Contact us with your volumes.
