Data model

The objects in the Siar API and how they relate: organization, team, social account, upload, post, comment, webhook.

Organization (billing, quotas, API keys, webhooks)
└─ Team (one customer, brand or location)
├─ Social account (at most one per network)
├─ Upload (media, reusable across posts)
├─ Post (one payload per target network)
└─ Comment (replies you create, comments you import)

Organization

The unit of billing. Plan quotas, API keys, webhooks and X credit belong to the organization. Plan limits are described on pricing; read your current usage from GET /organization/usage/posts, /comments, /uploads, /daily-limits and /imports.

Team

A team (the API sometimes calls it a “social set”) groups connected accounts. It holds at most one account per network, so to run two Instagram accounts for a customer, create two teams. The Free plan allows 3 teams; paid plans are unlimited, which also removes any limit on connected accounts.

Social account

A connected network identity: a profile, Page, channel, board or server. It stores encrypted tokens (never returned), the username and avatar, and, for networks with channels, the selected channel. Accounts are flagged when a network revokes access, and a social-account.updated webhook fires.

Upload

A stored media file with a type (image, video, document), size, dimensions and duration. Upload once, reference its id from many posts. See media uploads.

Post

A post has a title (internal), a postDate, a status, a list of socialAccountTypes and a data object with one payload per network. Siar creates one publishing target per network and tracks each separately, so one network can fail while the others succeed. referenceKey lets you attach your own id and look the post up with GET /post/reference-key/{referenceKey}. See posting and statuses.

Comment

A comment you create through Siar (on a post or in reply to another comment), or a comment imported from a network. Comments have monthly quotas and daily per-account caps.

Webhook

An HTTPS endpoint with a list of event types and a signing secret. See webhooks.
